Tableau for Teaching access is for students and educators In-classroom Academic Purposes. To get access, follow the links below.

Tableau provides free one-year licenses to students enrolled in accredited academic institutions through the Tableau for Students program

Educators

Tableau provides instructors at accredited academic institutions free access to its software. This access is always renewable, free, and available indefinitely.

To receive your licenses, please submit proof of your teaching status, such as faculty web pages, course syllabi, or appointment letters.

Terms of Service

Salesforce Tableau considers any data uploaded to their Tableau Public server the property of Salesforce.  This includes any workbooks, vizualizations, calculations and data.

Excerpt from the Salesforce Terms of Service (9/24/2025):

...by posting or submitting Content, you grant us (Salesforce Tableau), our agents, licensees, and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual (non-exclusive) right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use your Content.
