Campus Human Resources is excited to invite you to explore the new Employee Center (login required).
Recently launched, the Employee Center is a resource that allows campus staff employees to ask questions, submit requests, and find information related to their employment at UC San Diego or their role as a supervisor or HR Contact.
The Employee Center aims to provide a new place for HR-related information that you once found on Services & Support, as well as a new way to connect with the HR Support Team. The Employee Center will continue to evolve to host more content and services, becoming a comprehensive portal for all Campus HR staff needs.
We will continue to develop new services and system enhancements to allow for a streamlined way to submit HR requests and receive support. To find out how you can provide feedback, refer to the Employee Center Suggestions and Feedback section. We look forward to partnering with you as we continue to enhance the Employee Center.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this the only way I can reach HR?
- No, the Employee Center presents an additional convenient way to reach Campus HR. Employees can continue reaching us via phone at (858) 246-3570 or email at hr@ucsd.edu.
- How is this different from Blink?
- Blink is UC San Diego’s public-facing website hosting news and employee engagement information. The Employee Center is an internal Campus HR platform where UC San Diego employees can directly contact the HR Support Team for assistance, find HR-related knowledge articles, and submit real-time HR requests.
- Is this where I find system-wide benefits information?
- Your best resource for system-wide benefits information is UCNet. If you have benefits-related questions, or need local support for UCPath requests, the Employee Center can help you with that.
- I am an academic employee. Is this site for me?
- As an academic, you will have access to HR-related knowledge information as well as benefits and workplace accommodations resources through the Employee Center. However, for general HR or appointment-related requests, you will continue reaching out to your academic personnel contact for support.
- I work for UC San Diego Health. Is this site for me?
- If you are a UC San Diego Health employee, you will continue reaching out to your HR Solutions team at 619-543-3200, extension 33200, or http://hhr.ucsd.edu.
- What sites will the Employee Center replace?
- The Employee Center is a brand new platform, and will not specifically replace existing sites. There will be functionality from the Services & Support portal as well as Blink that will be adopted into the Employee Center. For more detailed information on this, please click here.
- What platform is the Employee Center hosted on?
- It is hosted through ServiceNow, a back-end workflow management platform customized to meet the needs of UC San Diego.
- Will the Employee Center include articles or instructions in Spanish for our Spanish speakers?
- In the initial soft launch phase, it will be in English. However, as the platform continues to develop, our goal will be to offer as much information and services as possible in additional languages. At present, our HR Support Team is staffed with Spanish-speaking employees who can provide service in Spanish upon request.
- I have feedback for the Employee Center. How can I submit this?
- We welcome your feedback through this form here.

- What systems have you struggled to use or understand?
- What information have you struggled to find or understand?
- What requests or processes do you think might benefit from a system?
