Research Administration Training

Offerings include knowledge-based training such as the RA Essentials class for new research administrators, the four-level Research Administration (RA) Training Certificate Program, as well as targeted skills training on the tools and systems used, such as virtual instructor-led courses on the Kuali Research system.

Research Compliance Training

To help researchers understand and comply with applicable federal, state, local and university regulations, Research, Compliance, and Integirty offers a variety of online and in-person required and reccommended training opportunities for researchers and reseach support staff. 

Budget & Finance Training

Attend training courses to improve your understanding of budget and financial information and ensure departments’ success in managing the university’s fiscal responsibilities.

Postdoctoral Scholar Professional Development Training

To establish a framework and support the professional development of Postdoctoral Scholars at UC San Diego, the Office of Postdoctoral Scholar Affairs (OPSA) developed and runs the EPIC program. Adapted from the National Postdoctoral Association’s (NPA) Core Competencies for Postdoc Training, the EPIC curriculum complements the discipline-specific conceptual knowledge and research skill development postdocs receive through their research appointment by providing training for postdoc in the following core competencies domains:
