Blink is organized into 7 general categories:
- Budget & Finance: Information about budgeting, accounting, payroll, procure-to-pay, financial analysis, gift processing, purchasing, logistics, and travel
- Facilities & Services: Information about grounds and maintenance, vehicle services, imprints, and real estate
- Faculty & Instruction: Resources for faculty, instructors, advisors and others who support instruction and matriculation
- Human Resources: Information about benefits, learning and development, supervision and management, employee services, labor relations, and disability counseling and consulting
- IT Services: Information supporting business systems, messaging and collaboration, information security, campus infrastructure, educational technology and researcher needs.
- Research: Support for all aspects of the research lifecycle
- Safety: Information about Environment, Health & Safety and Police Services
Blink is a team effort
Blink is a project of Information Technology Services but is maintained by subject-matter experts from departments throughout campus. Workplace Technology Services (WTS) coordinates training and updates and maintains the Blink home page.

- Clear: Content is easy to read and understand

- User-friendly: Organization is based on the needs of site users rather than those of the content providers
- Accessible: The site is navigable by users with disabilities
Blink aims to avoid legalese. Pages may link to policies, procedure documents, notices and other official documents, but these will not reside within Blink.
