Canva is an innovative online platform for graphic design that empowers users to craft a wide range of visual content, including social media posts, presentations, posters, and videos.UC San Diego staff and faculty can now purchase Canva Pro subscriptions to enhance their design capabilities.
UC San Diego students are eligible to receive a complimentary Canva Pro student license, providing them with advanced design tools and resources to support their academic and creative efforts.
Eligibility
- UC San Diego Faculty and Staff can purchase a license through CDW-G for $94.50 per license per year and will be prorated at the time of order. Please view steps on how to order below.
- Students can get a free license by going to Canva.com and logging in with their Single Sign On.

UC San Diego Faculty/Staff
To place a Canva license order through UC San Diego Oracle Financials Cloud:
You need project and task number information to place an order through UC San Diego Oracle Financials Cloud.
- Sign In to the Oracle Financials Cloud, select Company Single Sign-On, and follow the login instructions.
- From the Oracle Financials Cloud home page, select "Purchase Requisitions" and select "All Punchouts."
- Select the CDWG logo from the list of options.
- On the left banner, select "*New* Exclusive Canva Pricing."
- Complete the order. Your department must approve the project and task numbers for this purchase. Pending your department financial unit's approval, the requisition approval may take more than a day.
You can order Canva licenses for multiple users in a single order. -
Once your requisition is fully approved, you will receive the purchase order information in your email.

The purchase order will be sent to CDWG, and you will receive the order confirmation and a link to their Google form. It's important to complete this form.
If you purchase Canva licenses for multiple users in a single purchase order, then upon receiving the Google form from CDWG, it's important to include each user's UCSD email address so that they can access their Canva license using their account login.
- Canva will receive the order and typically process it within 2-3 days. However, if the Canva team is dealing with a high volume of orders, the processing time may be extended, possibly up to a week.
- After your access is confirmed, click here to login.
UC San Diego Students
Students can log in to Canva using the following link: UC San Diego Canva Link. Once logged in, a Pro license will be available for you to use.
