How do I start a new search?
Click the New Search button in the right blue sidebar.

How do I find all funds for my area?
Click Advanced Search Options, select your criteria, and click Filter at the bottom of the page.

Why do I get an error when using my browser's back button?
To avoid timeout issues, use the internal Back icon located at the top left of the page instead of your browser's back button.

Reports and Printing
What is the best way to print reports?
Click the Run icon (top left) and select Run PDF. This ensures the formatting remains correct.

How do I export fund data to Excel?
In the right blue sidebar, click Run Comprehensive Fund Detail under "Additional Info."

How do I find balances for a specific month?
Use the month drop-down in the right blue sidebar.
Tip: If data is missing, check the "Most Recent Data Available" and select the available month.

Fund Data and Documentation
Where are gift documents located?
Once you select a fund, documents are listed under Documents in the bottom right of the blue sidebar (currently available for endowed funds only).
If you encounter an error accessing the document in OnBase, contact its-advsnow@ucsd.edu for support.

When are gifts reflected in the balance?
Gifts appear in the balance the month following the date they were received.
Are commitments included in the Campus Expendable?
No, this represents the cash balance of the fund.
What is the "Estimated Annual Payout"?
This is a calculation of the fiscal year-to-date payout plus the most recent monthly payout multiplied by the remaining months in the year. You must select a closed month from the drop-down for this to calculate correctly.
Why are there two different fund numbers for endowments?
Endowments are split into a Principal fund and an Expendable fund. They share the same last four digits to keep them linked. Visit frequently asked questions for Gift and Foundation Accounting to learn more about what the letters mean in a fund number.
