Stata is a complete, integrated software package that provides all your data science needs—data manipulation, visualization, statistics, and automated reporting.

UCSD Stata SE software agreement supports course related and doctoral level degrees and projects. Students can request Stata software access and install it on their personal computers.

Faculty and TA can request access for classroom-driven work: preparing notes, lectures, reviewing homework, etc.  All faculty/staff usage will be restricted to university-owned machines (desktop & laptop). No usage on personal devices will be allowed.

Stata Prof+ Plan for Faculty & Staff project use

Stata Prof+ Plan is for faculty and staff at select institutions including UCSD to own single-user licenses of Stata. Prof+ Plan licenses are not limited in any way—they give you access to everything in Stata but at special low prices. You will receive a full-featured, robust version of Stata with each purchase—no additional modules, no additional fees.
