Annual Shop & Studio Environmental Compliance & Hazards Training
Required annually* for UC San Diego non-laboratory personnel in shops and studios who work with hazardous materials. Topics include hazardous materials handling, waste disposal, pollution prevention, environmental compliance, and emergency response. This is an eCourse.
How to get training:
- Complete the Annual Shop & Studio Environmental Compliance & Hazards Training eCourse on UC Learning Center.
* Expiration dates: County regulations require training annually - not 12 months from date of completion. Your annual training can be completed anytime this year, regardless of last years expiration date.
Asbestos Awareness for Trades Employees
Required for employees who may encounter asbestos while performing their job duties.

Required for UC San Diego project managers before being assigned to projects where asbestos may be encountered.

Environmental Compliance/Pollution Prevention
Required for custodial services within UC San Diego. This class provides an overview of a variety of federal, state, and local environmental regulations that govern facilities maintenance job activities at UC San Diego. Topics include procedures and practices necessary to comply with these regulations and to reduce or prevent the discharge of pollutants to the air, soil, and/or waters of the state. This is instructor-led training.
