Increase to Minimum Wage
The San Diego minimum wage will increase from $17.25 to $17.75 per hour effective January 1, 2026. We are currently working closely with Compensation to review and adjust student pay ranges accordingly. We know many departments are eager for details, and we appreciate your patience as this process is finalized. An official email with full guidance for student employee supervisors and HR Contacts will be shared in early December, after all rate changes are confirmed by UCOP.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
