How to Forward Calls to an On-Campus Number (call forward/ follow me)

Learn how to use the call-forward/ follow-me feature to send calls to an alternate phone number on campus.
Note: The information on this page is generally applicable to most phone models at UC San Diego.
1. Make sure you have Feature Package 1.
- Feature Package 1 is required for call forward/ follow me.
- If you don't have Feature Package 1, submit a Customer Service Request (CSR).
2. Activate the call-forward/ follow-me feature.
- Forward calls to another extension:
- Lift the handset.
- Press * 2 *
- Enter the 5-digit extension for the phone number to which you want to direct calls.
- Press #
- Listen for the pulsating dial tone.
- Replace the handset.
- Forward calls again from the new extension to a different extension:
- At the new extension, lift the handset
- Press * 2 *
- Enter the original extension number, plus *
- Enter the new five-digit extension to which you want to direct calls
- Press #
- Listen for the pulsating dial tone.
- Replace the handset.
3. Cancel the follow-me feature.
- Lift the handset.
- Press # 2 #
- Listen for a normal dial tone.
- Replace the handset.
