Campus Major Minor Change

Used to see how many students are switching in and out of a major, as well as between several majors within one department. Needed for manual process to accept / reject requests for capped majors.

The Campus Major Minor Change report is available from the Business Analytics Hub (bah.ucsd.edu) under the Enrollment & Grades tab in card view, or category in list view.

Campus Major Minor Change Information is used to view students that are switching in and out of a major, as well as between several majors within one department.

Some sample uses of the Campus Major Minor Change Query are:

  • A list of students that have modified their major or minor within a department.
  • A list of students that have added or dropped a major.
  • Inform manual process to accept/reject requests for capped majors.

Access

 

When requesting access to this report, please select the "Enrollment and Grades" reporting category in the report access request.

Before access can be requested, the following UC Learning trainings are required:

  • FERPA - Confidentiality of Student Records and Privacy Rights
  • Privacy at UC San Diego (or Privacy 101)
  • UC San Diego Business Analytics Hub Fundamentals

Once the trainings have been completed, please allow at least 24 business hours for the data to update then submit the Student Reporting Access Request SNOW form (coming soon).

Non-Census Data

Only a non-census version of this report exists.

Querylink Field Mapping

The fields removed were carefully assessed and approved for removal by the data steward, considering factors such as data privacy, relevance, and applicability to general report usage. If any of the removed fields are needed, please submit an enhancement request and describe why the information is needed and how it will be used.
