Read about the campus CMS, a free web content management tool to manage your UC San Diego website.
We offer a free web content management tool to manage your UC San Diego website.
Benefits
- With little or no experience, you can build and maintain a professional website using campus templates.
- It creates a common, coherent look across UC San Diego.
- See other benefits.
Best for
- An academic Department or Program or official ORU. At this time, we cannot support labs, student organizations, or Health Sciences (clinical) sites. Note: School of Medicine sites are now eligible for the campus CMS. See School of Medicine Websites Migration for details.
- The site must be permanent. One-time events, notices, and other temporary items should be advertised on an existing website.
- The CMS does not support the course, lab, student organization, or research level. See on-campus web resources.
Limitations
- The CMS is not a web application development platform—it's just for HTML pages.
- It doesn't support intranets or password-protected content.
- It's not a wiki, blog, or scheduling platform though you can link to these products as well as embed objects into your CMS page.
