Voice Mail: Recording Personal Name or Greetings

Recording your Personal greeting or Out of Office greeting

This is what callers will hear in place of a voice mail message, if you have not recorded one. (To record a voice mail message, see Voice Mail: Getting Started.)

Dial 42000 from a campus phone or (858) 534-2000 from an off-campus location to reach UC San Diego Unified Messaging center, and enter your security code.
Press 3 to reach the user options menu
Press 4 to record a Standard greeting or
Press 6 to record an Out of Office greeting

Recording Your Name

Press 3 to reach the user options menu
Press 1 to reach Personal Options
Press 5 to record your name

Record your name after the tone, Press 6 to review, Press 4 to discard and start over, Press 5 to save.
