Callers Can't Hear Me

If you answer your desk phone and the caller can't hear you, check this page for possible solutions to the problem.

Check the mute button.

  • If the mute feature is activated during a call, the caller won't be able to hear you.

Check the handset cord.

  • If the handset cord is not securely plugged in at both ends, you won't be able to hear callers.

Check the wall jack.

  • The phone line must be plugged into a voice or phone jack. You won't be able to hear callers if your phone is plugged into a data jack.
