Can't Hear Callers

If you can't hear callers when you pick up your phone, use this checklist to help solve the problem.

Check the volume control.

  • If the volume is turned down too low, it will interfere with incoming audio.

Try using the speakerphone.

  • If you can hear the caller when you use your speakerphone, your handset may need repair.

Reconnect the phone line.

  • Unplug the phone line from the wall jack, then plug it in again. This can clear up a problem with a bad connection.
