Report Developers
Learn about being a Report Developer.
As a Report Developer at UC San Diego, you spend most of your day or week doing analytics using tools like Cognos or Tableau. Developers have extensive knowledge of the data source and a general understanding of tables and joins.
BI tools
The best person to select a BI tool is often the BI developer. You have an understanding of what level of interaction your customers are comfortable with and what the needs are for specific projects.
Report Developer Activity Hub access
Report Developers must request access to each Activity Hub individually via the forms found on the ITS-BIA Data Sources page. Once approved, Report Developer access includes the ability to develop in both Cognos and Tableau (Tableau desktop license requested separately).
