About the Financial Activity Hub
Supporting blended financial reporting and analysis, the Financial Activity Hub (FinAH) is a central repository for UC San Diego enterprise system data as it relates to all financial activity across relevant systems.
This hub contains data from current and future financial systems*, including ledger, budget and student financial information. Activity pattern analysis, budget and forecast reporting, multi-fund analysis and tuition revenue modeling is available using the Cognos visualization tool. Blending the financial data from FinAH with other Activity Hubs is supported in Cognos.

Using the Financial Activity Hub
To build reports using FinAH data, you will first need to gain access.

Request Access
Access to Oracle is a prerequiste for access to FinAH. To gain access:
- Attend the required Oracle training. Find more on the Finance Training page.
- Submit an Oracle and Concur Role Request for access to Oracle data. You will select a Business Intelligence and Reporting role:
- UCSD BI Consumer JR (minimum requried for access)
- UCSD BI Author JR
- UCSD BI Modeler JR
- UCSD BI Administrator JR
When your Oracle access has been approved, email busintel@ucsd.edu to indicate you would like to build Cognos and Tableau reports with FinAH data.

Data Training and Support
Join the Financial Analytics Community of Practice for financial data training and access to additional support documents. Monthly meetings connect you with other UC San Diego developers who demonstrate real-life solutions using FinAH data.
After you have been given access to Oracle data, you are welcome to join the Financial Analytics Community of Practice. Find information about Financial Community of Practice meetings and group mailing list.

Activity Hubs data is available through Cognos and Tableau analysis and reporting tools.
Available Data
Data available through the FinAH includes Ledger, Common Chart of Accounts (CCOA), Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Budget.
