The Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure group is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining a reliable, cost-effective, high-performance production environment that operates 365 days a year, 24 hours per day.
We use state-of-the-art technology and industry-standard hardware and software. We provide the means to deliver all central computing to the campus community, we investigate and implement new technologies where appropriate, ensure the data and network is secure, and provide access to campus enterprise data. We also provide a network infrastructure across the entire UC San Diego campus including the provisioning for a high performance research capability with connectivity at 10gig+ from most campus buildings.
Cloud & Infrastructure Services

Cloud and Infrastructure Services consists of both on-premises and cloud application platform management, infrastructure operations, classroom labs, and mainframe technical support. The various applications supported on these platforms include the financial system, student system, Housing and Dining, RMP, police department, academic affairs, payroll, along with others that support our campus community. A high level of our scope encompasses server installations and maintenance, AWS account maintenance, data backups, application platform configuration, classroom labs support and maintenance, and mainframe infrastructure environment.

The Enterprise Network Telecommunications team designs, implements and manages UC San Diego's networks focusing on wired/wireless data network operations, network architecture, installation, repair, telephony, inside/outside plant management, telecom planning, audiovisual and Data Center.
