UC San Diego Passport Office

The UC San Diego Passport Office is a self-supporting unit of Business and Financial Services and is an authorized U.S. Passports Acceptance Office serving faculty, staff, students, and the general public.  UC San Diego Passports is part of the U.S. Department of State Bureau of consular Affairs, the key government agency responsible for serving the interests of U.S. Citizens traveling internationally.  The role and responsibilities of the Passport Office is significant to overall national security, citizenship, and border security.

The passport acceptance office is located in the Campus Services Complex, Building 'A' on Greenhouse Lane near the corner of Voigt and Gilman. Customer parking is in front of Mail Services on the north side of the building.

• We provide services to both UC San Diego and external community members.
• Both first-time and renewing applicants can apply with our office.

• Collaborate with the Study Abroad office and sponsor select students by funding their application fees for those who plan to study abroad during their time at the university
• Maintain a strong student employment program, allowing students to get valuable, real-world work experience that can be used for future employment opportunities. 

What campus needs to know:

• The majority of our team is made up of student employees, with various majors and years of experience.
• We are happy to join/collaborate with any office that wants to provide more information to students about resources on campus (eg. resource fairs, tabling, etc.).
