Costing Policy and Analysis

The goal of Costing Policy and Analysis is to promote policies, strategies, and budgeting or accounting practices that will improve campus cost reimbursement, result in campus cost savings, and avoid cost disallowances, particularly in relation to sponsored activities and externally financed capital projects.  This unit also monitors cost issues relating to campus recharge activities; develops and negotiates facilities and administrative (F&A) cost rates.

The Financial Analysis Office serves campus faculty, administrators, and managers; the Office of the President; staff from other UC campuses; and organizations that represent the nation’s research universities, including Council of Governmental Relations, Association of American Medical Colleges, Association of American Universities, and Federal Demonstration Project.
