How to Make an Appointment With FSAP

Find out how you can make a confidential appointment with a member of the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP).

  • An FSAP staff member will ask questions to gather basic information and help decide which counselor will be most helpful to you.

Note: The confidentiality of email cannot be guaranteed. The most confidential way to make an appointment is by phone. Any of the counselors can set up an appointment for you.

FSAP Confidentiality Statement

The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is a professional confidential assessment and referral service provided by UC San Diego for the benefit of campus* employees, retirees, and Postdoctoral and Visiting Scholars, and the members of their immediate household.

Services are confidential within the scope of California law. No employee utilization records will be released without written consent unless there is a concern for the safety of self or others as outlined in California’s Duty to Protect law and the FSAP Extended Informed Consent form

Information regarding your participation in the program is never placed in personnel or departmental files, and receiving FSAP assistance will in no way jeopardize job or career opportunities.

The California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) responds to complaints regarding services provided within the scope of practice of marriage and family therapists and clinical social workers. You may contact the BBS online.
