Students can use the Social Identities Tool (login required) on TritonLink to provide a preferred name that will be used on certain University records and systems. Preferred first and middle names are allowed but not preferred last names.
Students may also indicate their personal pronouns. They may choose from a list of commonly used pronouns or specify a set of custom pronouns. More information on personal pronouns may be found at mypronouns.org.
A student’s preferred name and personal pronouns information will appear on campus systems such as Find a student in Blink beginning April 15, 2019. Preferred names will display in other applications as the project continues.
