IT Services Voice and Video

Learn about the voice and video communications systems at UC San Diego.


The University of California San Diego uses the Aastra, Consono MD110 PBX to provide service to the faculty and staff. There are more than 17,000 lines, and equipment is located in 22 node sites on- and off-campus.


All video service, on-campus, will be provided by Spectrum Enterprise. Campus departments requesting new Cable TV service should submit a Customer Service Request online.

Once a CSR is submitted, IT Services will verify that the location is serviceable, provide you with an estimate, and time-line for the installation.
