Instructional Scheduling Assistant (ISA)
Learn how to get access to, and to become trained in using the ISA, an application used for scheduling classes at UC San Diego.
The Instructional Scheduling Assistant (ISA) is an application designed to assist departments, divisions, schools and units in scheduling classes at UC San Diego, obtaining approval for Summer Session class offerings, and communicating with the offices of Summer Session and the Registrar. How to get access
Before you get started:
- All users must sign in using UC San Diego’s business systems via Single Sign-On (SSO).
- If you're unsure if you have SSO access, you can self-register online.
Staff:
- If you're a new staff member in your unit who needs to use the ISA, access is subject to approval by your unit head. Request access through the Send feedback button on the ISA menu, or by emailing isa-help@ucsd.edu. Access requests can usually be taken care of within 1-2 business days.
Instructors:
- If you're currently employed in a unit and have a valid appointment, you should be automatically granted access to log in via your SSO credentials.
- There may be a delay between when your employment information is finalized and when your SSO access is granted.
- Please contact your unit’s HR representative for updates on your employment status.
ISA workgroup
This group is made up of key stakeholders that act as subject matter experts. They provide specifications through user stories, help give input as to priority of project requirements, and assist with testing.
They are also available as your contact for any training questions, and to take your feedback and suggestions for improvements to the ISA.
