Cashiering Services Overview

UCSD departments can submit departmental deposits, exchange cash and currency, and submit petty cash checks to replenish their cash fund with the Central Cashier's team inside the TritonPay Office.

Central Cashier

The Central Cashier is located in the TritonPay Office on the first floor of the Student Services Center, Suite 170 (map). The office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Departments may send or drop-off their deposits to the Central Cashier:

  • in-person
  • via U.S. Mail
  • via campus mail
  • in the dropbox located on the office's south wall facing Rupertus Lane

 

At the TritonPay Office, departments can:

Make deposits

If your department receives payments in the form of cash or checks, you can deposit all payments at this office. See Before You Make a Deposit for details on good deposit practices.

 

Order currency and coin

Change orders can be filled while you wait, or you can request your change in advance by submitting your order on the Services & Support portal. For additional information, see Currency and Coin Denominations and How to Order Currency and Coin.

 

Check Cashing:

Departmental petty cash checks

The TritonPay Office will cash departmental petty cash fund checks.

Personal, non-university-related checks

The TritonPay Office does not cash personal, non-university-related checks.

University issued checks

The TritonPay Office will cash University issued checks on an exception basis under special circumstances. Please contact the Cashier Manager for additional information.
