Compensation Planning

Find out about business scenarios, data selection, report view options, and data definitions for Planning and Budgeting Dashboard available under Budget & Planning in the Business Analytics Hub (bah.ucsd.edu).

This dashboard delivers an initial suite of compensation planning reports intended to support campus business officers. They are designed to provide the tools for internal position management as well as the monthly and year end variance analysis of budget vs. payroll expenses captured in the Oracle Planning and Budgeting tool and UCPath.

 

Report Description

BDP Audit Report

This report provides summarized position data in the Budget Distribution Page (BDP) tool in UCPath.

BDP User Roles Report

This report displays active employees who are currently provisioned access to the Budget Distribution Page (BDP) tool in UCPath.

Staffing List Detail Report

This report assists financial managers with the planning and budgeting of Core Recurring positions for both faculty and staff by comparing Budget Distribution Page (BDP) entries in UCPath against their Recurring compensation budgets from EPBCS.

Budget vs Actual with Projections Report by Position ID – Monthly View

This report assists financial managers with the planning and budgeting of core recurring positions for both faculty and staff that were entered in Budget Distribution Page (BDP) in UC Path vs. their actual monthly compensation expenses.

Budget vs Actual Report: FTE, Salaries and Benefits – Year End Variance

This report aggregates year-end variances comparing budgeted vs. actual Labor Ledger Salary and Benefit Costs by position ID after fiscal year ends.

Budgeted Positions Report

This report provides a list of Recurring and/or One-Time positions created through EPBCS based on Employee Activity Hub (EAH) data extract.

Search Tool for Budgeted Positions using Position ID

This report allows users to search for budgeted positions by entering the position number.
