BDP User Roles Report

The BDP User Roles report displays active employees who are currently provisioned access to the Budget Distribution Page (BDP) tool in UCPath. The report can be filtered to narrow down user records displayed in the report.

The BDP User Roles report is available from the Business Analytics Hub (bah.ucsd.edu) via the Compensation Planning card under the Budget & Planning tab. Standard Oracle roles are required to access the report. To request access to the Budget Distribution Page (BDP) in UCPath, please refer to the How to Request Access to the Budget Distribution Page (BDP) Module in UCPath Knowledge Base Article.

Business Scenarios

  • The BDP User Roles report displays active employees who are currently provisioned access to the Budget Distribution Page (BDP) tool in UCPath. The report can be filtered to narrow down user records displayed in the report.
  • The report summarizes user access permissions by user last and first name, UCSD email address, Department, Job Code, and UCPath role.
    • Users can select specific Employee(s) and/or Department(s) using the prompt selections within the report.
  • The report is sorted in ascending order by user last name.

This report answers the following questions:

  • Does this user have Budget Distribution Page (BDP) tool access in UCPath?
    • If so, does this user hold the Budget Entry Inquiry role, or the Budget Entry Submitter role?
  • What Department(s) is this user assigned? What is the Job Code of this user?

Data Selection and View Options

Respond to Prompts

Department Code and Description

  1. The Department Code and Description prompt is optional. Users may select specific Department(s) from the scrollable list, or the user can leave this prompt unselected to run the report for all Department(s) that they have access to view. Your selection(s) will be indicated by a checked box.

Employee Name

  1. The Employee Name prompt is optional. Users may select specific Employee Name(s) from the scrollable list, or the user can leave this prompt unselected to run the report for all Employee(s) that they have access to view. Your selection(s) will be indicated by a checked box.

To filter the names populated in the Employee Name prompt box by Department Code selection(s), the user can click the ‘Reprompt’ button located in between the two prompt boxes:

Once all Prompt selections are complete, click Finish to generate the report.

Report Views

  • Results display in a table format of 7 columns formatted to HTML
  • To export the report in PDF, Excel, or CSV, click on the down arrow next to the play button and select your desired output
