Total compensation for staff employees includes all forms of cash (e.g. salary and wages, shift differential and on-call payments, lump sum payments, and awards, etc.) as well as health and welfare benefits, retirement and savings plans, employee programs and services, and perquisites.
Staff employees enjoy a total compensation package that far exceeds the value of their base salary. Benefits vary by employee category and appointment type. Official provisions affecting you are contained in the personnel policies or collective bargaining contract that apply to your position.
