VPN Access Upgrade Start Dates

University owned managed devices (NOT personal/unmanaged devices)

These new Secure Connect tunnels are for campus-managed work computers. If you use VPN from a personal device, continue using the existing 2-Step Secured options until further notice. This information will be coming in a later update.

Instructions

Once your unit's enablement date arrives:

  1. Open your VPN client (vpn.ucsd.edu)
  2. Select a “Secure Connect” option instead of “2-Step Secured”
