Having trouble with your new password? Sometimes there can be a slight delay before the new password takes affect. If you've given it some time and are still having trouble try the steps below.
- If you went directly to password.ucsd.edu to change your password and use a university-issued computer, follow these steps to sync computer login with your new AD password:
- Windows computer users:
- Press Ctrl, Alt and Delete
- Select Change a password
- Enter your Old Password, New Password and Confirm the new password.
- Mac computer users:
- Go to the Apple menu, select System Preferences…
- In System Preferences, select Users & Groups:
- Click Change Password
- Windows computer users:
- Close all open applications and restart the device.
- Check the Frequently Asked Questions for solutions to known issues.
- Contact your IT staff for assistance.
