You must secure access to the mainframe by configuring your software to use a protocol for protecting data.
1. Modify Hummingbird to activate the SSL feature and change the port to 1023.
- Follow these steps:
- Open Hummingbird.
- Click File at the top of the window.
- Click Disconnect.
- Click Edit Session Profile to open the Session Profile window.
- Click Session in the Settings Groups.
- Click the Host tab.
- Enter 1023 in the TCP Port field and click O.K.
- Click Security in the Settings Group on the left.
- Click the General tab.
- Click SSL/ TLS, then click OK to close the Session Profile window.
- Click File at the top of the window.
- Click Save Session Profile.
2. Open a new Hummingbird session.
- Click File at the top of the window.
- Click Connect to open the Hummingbird session.
