Buying Hardware at UC San Diego

Find out how to purchase new computer hardware as a student or if you do not have access to IT/desktop support services. 

UC San Diego Bookstore

The UC San Diego Bookstore offers a large selection of computer hardware for sale to students, faculty, staff, and the general public. They may even offer seasonal discounts to students purchasing computer hardware for personal/school use.

NOTE! Student staff should never purchase hardware from the Bookstore for work purposes. They should request new hardware through their supervisor or manager.

The Bookstore accepts a variety of payment methods, including Oracle Chart Strings, P-Cards, as well as personal funds such as credit cards.

Please consult with your IT/desktop support team, if you have one, before purchasing any computer hardware from the Bookstore. Your IT/desktop support team can provide additional information or guidance for your specific situation and may even assist with the purchase.

Oracle Procurement

Procurement Card
