Learn how UCSD implements equal opportunity and affirmative action policies and procedures to maintain a workplace that is free of discrimination, harassment, and other kinds of unfair treatment.
Affirmative action is a tool that UCSD uses to help achieve equal employment opportunity (EEO). Through its affirmative action plan, the university:
- Analyzes its work force and evaluates its employment practices
- Identifies and corrects any discrimination-based obstacles to EEO
- Outlines outreach and workplace programs designed to achieve EEO
- Sets goals and measures successes in achieving EEO
