Prepare Your Site for TSS & New Maps
Learn how to use Siteimprove to find TSS keywords and outdated map links on your web pages.
Using Siteimprove shared policies
We've set up two temporary Policies in Siteimprove to help users find key terms on their websites — pages will need to be updated to reflect newer Triton Student System (TSS) processes and to remove outdated map links.
-
Log into Siteimprove and click on Policy in the left menu.
-
Follow the instructions if you don't yet have a Siteimprove account.
-
-
Within the Policy section, choose My policies (left menu).
-
Click on the policy you want to use:
-
Find terms becoming outdated with TSS: This policy includes multiple keywords to help you find pages that contain content regarding WebReg and enrollment tasks, so you can update them with newer TSS terms and processes.
-
Find map links for old map system: Locates occurrences of the older map URL so you can change them to newer map locations at campusmap.ucsd.edu.
-
-
Adjust the site you want to search at the top of the page, or use "All sites" to search across all pages you have access to in Siteimprove.
-
Click on each page name in the resulting list to review the page:
- See what keywords were found and where they're located on the page
- Update the page in the CMS if needed
- Use the list to keep track of pages you have updated or still need to be updated
-
If your pages live in Blink or TritonLink, ITS is guiding the changes needed to pages across those websites. Email wts@ucsd.edu if you have questions or need guidance.
Viewing the pages Siteimprove finds
Click on a page name, which opens a new window showing you where the various terms or links are located on that page.
Sort your list by "Occurrences" to find pages with the most references.
Click on the icon in last column to remove a page from your results, if it's not applicable to TSS or maps.
