Tableau Public
UCSD does not support a public facing platform nor workbooks published to Tableau Public.
Tableau Public is a free platform to publicly share and explore data visualizations online. Anyone can create visualizations using either Tableau Desktop Professional Edition or the free Public Edition. Tableau Public is owned and operated by Tableau.
Publishers can use up to 10gb of storage for workbooks per user account.
Workbooks can only be published with data extracts and refreshed manually.
Hidden does not mean private – In Settings there is an option to “Set my vizzes to hidden" - You do have the opportunity to set a viz to hidden on your profile - that means visitors to your profile page can’t see the viz among the thumbnails. However, please note that anyone who knows (or stumbles across) the URL for the viz, can see it, so be sure not to use this service for data that is not meant for sharing.
