Lease a UC San Diego Vehicle

Fleet Services leases campus-owned vehicles to departments for business use.

Vehicle leases require:

• Completing the Department Vehicle Request
• All drivers to be paid UC San Diego employees who hold a valid state driver's license
• Vehicle will be used only for official university business and may not be taken off road or across international borders
• Existing fleet vehicles be leased for 12 months minimum and newly procured vehicles be leased for 24 months minimum
• Recharge of monthly lease rate to a department budget number

Leases include:

• UC insurance
• All scheduled maintenance and a complementary loaner vehicle upon request
• Parking on campus

Leases do not include:

• Fuel expenses
• Costs associated with reserved parking
• Repair costs that result from abuse or excessive wear and tear
