UC San Diego departments can request a FedEx account for official shipping and logistics needs by contacting Outbound Shipping via Services & Support.

Outbound Shipping is the authorized team responsible for setting up FedEx accounts under UC San Diego’s contracted terms and agreements.

If you are part of UC San Diego Health (excluding Health Sciences) please follow a different process:

How Account Setup Works

  1. Submit your request by emailing Outbound Shipping.
  2. If your request is eligible, it will be submitted to FedEx for processing.
  3. FedEx will create the account and send the account number to Outbound Shipping.
