Try these online resources for training and development professionals - and anyone who develops leaders or wants to improve their leadership skills.

All UC employees can access free online leadership, management and employee resources through UC’s subscription to Gartner. Gartner is a leading research and advisory company that provides insights, best practices and tools to help individuals and organizations grow and achieve strategic priorities.

Register for Access 

  1. Go to https://www.gartner.com/account/register.
  2. Enter your official @ucsd.edu email address*, first and last names, and click the Submit button.
  3. Gartner will send an email with a link to create a password. Follow the instructions in this message to log into the site.

*Note: be sure to enter your official @ucsd.edu email address (not @health, @ eng, etc.) when setting up your account and logging in. The system will use it to recognize you as an eligible user.

How to Navigate Gartner

Once you’re logged in, use the top search bar to type in keywords for desired information, then click the magnifying glass button to initiate the search. Results will include all available Gartner memberships’ content related to your keywords.  You can also save your favorites for easier future reference. 

Click on My Profile at top right and scroll down to "My Memberships" where you’ll be taken to a page outlining all of your organization’s memberships (you can toggle between each one as each membership uses the same business email and password to access).

For Gartner support, contact the Gartner Human Resources Account Specialist. As your main contacts for your Gartner Human Resources memberships, your account team will help you find the support you need, including custom requests, project support and all other requests & inquiries.
