Siteimprove First Steps
Learn what to look for when you first use Siteimprove.
Select your Site
If you have access to more than one site in Siteimprove, select the one you with to view from the dropdown menu in the top left of the main window.

See your accessibility score
Click to open Accessibility in the left menu system, then select Accessibility overview to see your score.

Scroll down to see specific issues
Further down the page you can see issues that have been recently resolved (right column) and those that still need attention.
Some issues are addressed by WTS at the template level, and some are content issues addressed at the page level. To see the page-level issues you need to address, first click on "View all issues" below the "Fix these issues to improve your score" column.

Filter the results for "content writing" and "visual design"
Next, click the Filter button and select Filter by: Responsibility. Select Content writing and Visual design, click Confirm to finalize the section, and then click Apply to apply the filters you selected.
You will now see the issues you should focus on to increase your pages' accessibility ratings. Click through each issue to see a list of pages where it appears, as well as an explanation of the issue.
Content writing issues should be items that you can address directly. Visual design issues may be a mix of items you can address (like heading or italics use) and items a developer will need to address.

Prioritize level A and AA issues and potential issues
The University of California is committed to meeting WCAG 2.1 A and AA standards, so you should focus on those. Learn more about our responsibilities.
