Campus Audiovisual Design Guidelines

Learn about the UC San Diego guidelines for audiovisual design.

Audiovisual (AV) guidelines have been developed as a reference for architects and other design professionals engaged in the design of classrooms, lecture halls, and presentation spaces on the UC San Diego campus.

Learning spaces are measured by their effectiveness in facilitating the exchange of information. These guidelines are intended to begin a conversation during the pre-design phase to between the architect and the AV consultant to help determine the most important design criteria. The guidelines are not intended to establish or communicate standards or specifications, nor are they intended to replace one-on-one meetings with the occupant and the AV consultant to determine specific design requirements. Following the guidelines ensures the highest quality design standards.
