UC San Diego is required to complete balance sheet account reconciliations per campus policy.
Policy Overview
Campus policy establishes UC San Diego’s procedures and standards regarding the requirement to reconcile balance sheet accounts. By following this policy given herein, any person involved within the reconciliation process will ensure that:
- The information transmitted to, contained in, and reported from UCSD's financial systems is accurate, complete, and recorded in a timely manner;
- The information can be relied upon for making financial and administrative decisions; and
- Any fraud, theft, compliance violations, and other irregularities are quickly detected and reported to the appropriate authorities.
