How to Request Machine Repairs and Supplies

If your department has a Triton Print & Digital Media machine, find out how to request repairs and order supplies.

What to Do If Your Machine Isn't Working

  1. Try to resolve the problem yourself. See Troubleshooting Videos.
  2. If you can't resolve the problem, gather this machine information before contacting Triton Print & Digital Media:
    • Find the 4-digit machine number on a colored sticker located on the front of the machine.
    • Identify the problem as best you can, including any error codes displayed on the screen.
    • Have a contact name and phone number ready.
  3. Contact the Triton Print & Digital Media Help Desk.
    • Call (858) 534-2377 and speak with a customer service representative 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
    • After hours or on weekends, leave a voicemail. Remember to include the machine number, a description of the problem, and a contact name and phone number. We will respond the next business morning.
    • You can also request service online using our Equipment Service Request.

How to Order Paper and Supplies

Paper

Paper is included as part of your black/white equipment agreement with Triton Print & Digital Media. We do not provide paper for color machines, but recommend 28-pound, 30% recycled paper purchased through Marketplace.

To support campus sustainability initiatives, Triton Print & Digital Media provides recycled post-consumer waste (PCW) white paper, based on the number of copies made on your copier, in two sizes:

  • 8.5" x 11" (letter size) by the case (5,000 sheets); at least 30% post-consumer waste (PCW)
  • 8.5" x 14" (legal size) by the ream (5,000 sheets); at least 30% post-consumer waste (PCW)
  • You can request a case of paper (10 reams, 500 pages per ream) each time 5,000 copies are made and credited to your account.
  • Order paper online or call (858) 534-2377 weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For phone orders, have the following information available:
    • Machine number
    • Contact name
    • Contact phone number
  • If you place your order before 2 p.m., it will usually be delivered the next day.
  • Label boxes or packages of paper from Triton Print & Digital Media "For Copier Use Only."

Speciality Paper: If you need ledger paper, colored paper, transparencies, or labels, order them from Oracle Procurement.

Toner

For all Triton Print & Digital Media machines, black/white and color, your department should never pay for toner, supplies or service. Triton Print & Digital Media provides these as part of your impression rate.

  • Order toner online, by emailing triton-equip-support@ucsd.edu or by calling (858) 534-2377 weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please have the following information available:
    • Machine number
    • Contact name
    • Contact phone number
  • When you put a bottle of toner into the machine, order a another one so you'll always have a bottle on reserve.

Note: Beware of scams offering toner or other supplies. (See details on how to identify a scam.) If Triton Print & Digital Media provides your machine, service and supplies, such as toner and possibly staples, are included in your service agreement.
