2025-2026 Executive Leadership
Roxy Hajiaghajani (she/her)
Co-Chair
Roxy is an Assessment Specialist at the UC San Diego Library, where she employs her passion of research and user experience. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Pride Staff Association! Outside of work, she’s probably singing, reading history books, and/or hanging out with her wife and two children (Larry the Dog and Stuart the Cat).
She’s super excited to be part of a stellar group that’s reestablishing the Pride Staff Association and can’t wait to get to know more amazing people on campus who make up our beautiful community.
Kristen Weidler (she/her)
Co-Chair
Kristen is the Associate Director of Logistics at UC San Diego, where she brings a strong background in leadership, operations, organizational strategy, and talent development. She also currently serves as the Pride Staff Association Co-Chair and is passionate about visibility and advocacy for POC within the LGBTQ+ community. Aside from her work and community engagements, Kristen enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with her dog Ezio, and traveling. Overall, Kristen is excited to be a part of the PSA because it fosters an inclusive and empowering community, where everyone is encouraged to be their authentic selves.
Carly Gutierrez (she/they)
Membership Officer
Carly is a staff member at UC San Diego’s Geisel Library, where she works as the bindery coordinator. Carly has been with the university since August of 2023, has a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing & English, and is a current master's student in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University studying to become a librarian. Parent to a person, a dog, and two cats, Carly also volunteers as a CASA for foster youth in San Diego County. Usually studying and always going to bed early, she is bubbly and the life of the party as long as that party is in the morning. Feel free to ask her questions about membership in the Pride Staff Association, how to contact an officer, or how to join the newsletter mailing list. Oh, and the library!
Tyler DeLong (they/them)
Engagement Officer
Tyler moved to Southern California to pursue a career in communication and content creation, with a focus on advocating for underrepresented Queer+ communities. They have worked with organizations such as San Diego Pride, the San Diego LGBT Center and LA Family Housing, helping to amplify marginalized voices and increase accessibility.
Currently, Tyler serves as a communications specialist for the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science at UC San Diego. In their free time, Tyler enjoys soccer, tennis, outdoor activities and shower singing. They also love ordering dessert first and have a soft spot for dogs.
Tori Maches (she/her)
Technology and Design Officer
Tori has been the Digital Archivist in Geisel Library since summer 2018, and loves finding new and better ways to make obsolete file formats more accessible to researchers. She’s excited to be part of supporting and growing the PSA on campus.
Outside of work, Tori spends her time watching horror movies, playing video and tabletop games, writing, and trying to keep her craft supplies away from her two rambunctious cats (Todd and Copper).
Marissa Islas (she/her)
Community Connections Officer
Marissa is the Community Connections Officer for the Pride Staff Association. As a first-generation student and queer woman of color, her intersected identities and lived experiences inform how she shows up in the work they do as the Housing & Education Resources Coordinator at the Basic Needs Center and beyond.
She is very excited to be a part of the Pride Staff Association because to her, community is the heart of everything. Marissa's passion and determination of supporting the enrichment of diverse communities and bringing together people from all walks of life has only continued to grow deeper over the years. They are an advocate for our most marginalized communities and loves to create environments where people feel valued, integrated, and have equitable access to opportunities. This is what pulls her into work that centers the celebration of intersectionality and community building. In her free time, you’ll find her reconnecting with nature, skating, attending concerts, playing with her doggy Kika, and spending time with her girlfriend!
Sara Aslagson-Sahar (they/them)
Fiscal Officer
Sara has been described as a modern-day renaissance person and that is one of the highest compliments they have ever gotten. Passionate about a myriad of things, they have an academic background in both mathematics and poetry and can be frequently found crafting something fiber arts related. At UCSD Sara works as the Fiscal Assistant for the department of Visual Arts and appreciates the opportunity to give back to the community by applying their knowledge of the UCSD financial system as the Fiscal Officer for the Pride Staff Association.
