About us

The Vice Chancellor and CFO division manages a number of campus resources in support of UC San Diego’s Strategic Plan. Through the seven VC-CFO departments, the division:

• Stewards an annual budget of over $8 billion dedicated to the success of our academic mission,
• Provides financial analysis, accounting, payment, and procurement services to campus and Health Sciences units,
• Supports the access, success and climate of our 40,000+ employees though a progressive human resources function,
• Provides information technology services covering all both academic and enterprise needs,
• Manages a comprehensive real estate portfolio for both the campus and the Health System,
• Makes UC San Diego the home of 22,000+ residents through its Housing, Dining and Hospitality operations, and
• Strives to create and sustain a culture of inclusive excellence and continuous improvement by working in close partnership with all other divisions in a culture of collegiality and partnership that is the hallmark of UC San Diego.
