Cumulative Research Report

The Cumulative Research Report provides an overview of award and contract budget balances and revenue balances. This report best serves to provide campus and central office financial data users with budget and actual revenue/expenditure details.

  • The Budget balance summary results are based on the Award Number selected and shows the Award, Project, and Task’s Budget amount, costs, total committed cost, and balance
  • The Revenue balance summary results are based on the Contract Number selected and shows the Contract Number, Project Number, and Task Number Revenue amount, cost, total committed cost and revenue balance

Project and Task DFF's (Non-Sponsored)

The Project and Task DFF's (Non-Sponsored) report is designed to deliver the fund, function, location, activity that were defined for given tasks on a general project. This information is used by the Oracle system to drive the accounting for costs and revenue associated to the project and task within the PPM module. This report does not apply to sponsored research projects in which the fund, and function are derived from Award elements.

Project Cost Transfer Panorama

The Project Cost Transfer Panorama is a collection of reports designed to provide details about Project Cost transfers. Search transfers by the Original Expenditure Item transaction #, transfer dates, project, award, owning organization and more. For larger reports, use the built in scheduling feature.

Project Information Lookup

The Project Information Lookup brings back all the Projects for a Business unit, Project Organization or Project Manager and where available it provides full COA and POETAF Chart string values for these Projects.

The Project Panorama delivers a full look at project financials and is designed to support the PI, the Project Manager, and Fund Manager.

PPM Project Balances

  • PPM Project Balances may be used to view all of your Project and Task Costs, Revenue, and Committed Costs at the PPM subledger level
  • Note that General Projects do not currently have budgets in PPM, only Sponsored Projects do
  • This tab is useful for those who want to view all types of Projects in one table
  • What is the budget balance on my Sponsored Projects and each of its Tasks?
  • How much do I have in Committed Costs for each of these Projects and Tasks?

PPM Monthly Project Costs Overview

Award Summary

  • Award Summary serves to provide PIs and Fund Managers with an overview of their active grants, new grants, expiring grants, and how much is Unbudgeted or Unallocated
  • How many active grants do I have and how many of them are Unbudgeted or Unallocated in PPM?
  • How many of my Awards are going to expire in the next 90 days?

Award Financials

  • Award Financials provides an overview of Award Budgeted Amount, ITD Expenditures, Remaining Budget, Awards Overspent, Award Underspent, Overspent Amount and Awards with over 80% of Budget spent

GL Project Balances

  • GL Project Balances display a Project's Beginning Net Position, Total Resources, Total Expenses, Ending Net Position, Capital Equipment Expenditures, and Resources Available

  • This report includes Project values of 0000000

  • Project Resources Available displayed on this report may differ from the PPM Project Balance since some transactions post to the GL directly

    This report answers the following questions:

    • What are the Resources Available for my Project?
    • What are the YTD Total Resources and Total Expenses for my Project?
    • What did I spend inception to date for Capital Equipment for my Project?

All Transactions GL & Subledgers

Business Scenarios

  • All Transactions GL & Subledgers is a single space where users can view transactions that hit all ledgers: the General Ledger and each Subledger (PPM, Payables, Receivables, Cash Mgmt.)
  • What are all of the transactions that hit each subledger for my Project?
  • What transactions hit the GL directly?
