UC Walks

Join your colleagues systemwide in recognizing National Employee Health and Fitness month by participating in UC Walks.

2020 Event Information

Campuses and health systems across the UC system will mark the 11th anniversary of UC Walks with events that celebrate UC's commitment to health, wellbeing, and community.

Main campus & UC San Diego Health 

This year we will be holding a Virtual UC Walks the week of June 15 – 19, 2020! You decide what kind of physical activity you want to do and commit to doing it! Let's get up and moving!

How to participate: 

  • Register for the event
  • Take part in any kind of physical activity between June 15, 2020 and June 19, 2020! We ask that you at least try to walk or exercise for a total of 30 minutes this week. Feel free to complete it all in one day or even break it up into 10-minute chunks.
  • Play our UC Walks BINGO to see what activities you can do: includes a walk, virtual fitness class via UCSD Rec Playground, dancing, gardening, riding your bike, and more!
  • Sport your Triton Spirit - wear your UCSD gear!
  • Post photos of your activities on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter and use #UCWalks2020
  • After you complete your 30 minutes of activity, submit your UC Walks Participation Survey to receive a free t-shirt and to be entered into a raffle to win a Fitbit! You will be asked to submit the total minutes you were active, your shirt size, and if you completed the UC Walks BINGO. 

Please remember to be safe, smart, and practice social distancing on the day or days you choose to be active!

*T-shirts and entry into the prize drawing are open only to current UC San Diego employees who complete the participation survey, while supplies last. T-shirts will be distributed at a later date.
