System Status:

Flu Vaccination

The most important and effective measure to prevent flu infection is an annual flu vaccination. During the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, where COVID-19, like influenza, results in respiratory symptoms, it is more critical than ever to take this step to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community.

To support the health and well-being of UC students, faculty and staff and our communities, the University of California, in consultation with UC Health leadership, has issued a systemwide executive order requiring all members of the UC community to receive an influenza immunization before November 1, 2020.

Beginning November 1, 2020, you will need to attest that you have received the flu vaccine or have received an approved medical exemption or disability or religious accommodation before coming to campus or any other physical UC San Diego worksite for any purpose or duration.

Note: This mandate will be enforced beginning November 16, 2020.
