Flu Vaccination

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, it is more critical than ever to take steps to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community from influenza, as the flu results in respiratory symptoms similar to COVID-19. The most important and effective measure to prevent flu infection is an annual flu vaccination.

To support the health and well-being of UC students, faculty and staff and our communities, the University of California, in consultation with UC Health leadership, has issued a systemwide executive order requiring all students, faculty, other academic appointees, and staff who are living, learning, or working on premises at any University facility to (i) receive education concerning influenza vaccine; and (ii) receive or affirmatively decline influenza vaccination on or before November 19, 2021.

Campus employees should submit your attestation or declination of the influenza vaccine through the Flu Vaccination Attestation or Declination form (English) (Spanish) no later than November 19, 2021. You must sign in with your AD login. Submit your attestation or declination (English version) (Spanish version) »

Employees who opt out of the flu vaccination requirement, will be required to wear masks or face coverings at UC locations through the end of the flu season even if COVID-19 requirements are loosened.
