Research Administration Training Program: System Labs

Find out about the system labs that you can take without taking the certificate program or in addition to the certificate program.

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

If you are interested and/or have a National Institutes of Health (NIH) heavy portfolio, you are welcome to register for one or all of the additional system labs. These classes are electives and are offered in addition to the 8 week certificate program and are held in a computer lab. Note: you must complete the fundamentals pre-requisite before registering, however, these classes can be taken independently of the certificate program.

National Science Foundation (NSF)

If you are an Entry Level Administrative Specialist and new to sponsored research who will be working with the National Science Foundation (NSF) on a regular basis or if you have to or may be asked to assist with an NSF proposal, this system lab is for you. In this class, learners will participate in hands on activities involving the National Science Foundation (NSF) Fastlane proposal submission system and the necessary steps required by department Research Administrators in using Fastlane for pre-award and post-award activities.To sign up, register through UC Learning:
