EH&S applies the appropriate and applicable regulations and safety services necessary to support UC San Diego’s actively growing organization and community with well-developed programs and established policies and procedures. Recharge rates are effective July 1, 2026.

The university reserves the right to change these rates without further notice. Campus units that receive part of or their entire operating budget from recharge income are required to establish recharge rates in accordance with applicable university and federal policies. As part of the annual budget process, recharge units are required to submit for review and approval information regarding their projected costs and recharge rates for the upcoming year. Non-UC users lease retail food, sports or research facilities from the university.
